Donovan McNabb

McNabb will likely go down as one of the best quarterbacks to never win a Super Bowl. He was a six-time Pro Bowler with the Eagles and got them close to the promised land on multiple occasions. However, the Eagles were wise to move on from McNabb at the right time, even if it meant trading him to Washington, a division rival.

In the middle of McNabb’s first season in Washington, the team gave him a five-year, $78 million extension. Less than a month later, McNabb was benched and relegated to the third-string job. Needless to say, he was traded the following offseason. The only silver lining for Washington is that McNabb’s extension only had $3.5 million in guaranteed money. But that doesn’t make the contract any less foolish.
