Forward George Lynch capped off a four-year stint in Chapel Hill by helping lead the Tar Heels to the 1993 National Championship over the University of Michigan, and being named a First-Team All-ACC selection that year. Following said tournament, Lynch was selected with the 12th overall pick in the 1993 NBA Draft, by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Averaging only 6.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in his first three seasons with the Lakers, the more noteworthy part of Lynch’s career is the fact that the Lakers traded him away in an effort to clear the salary cap space needed to acquire center Shaquille O’Neal.
