Brice Johnson
A four-star recruit out of nearby Orangeburg, South Carolina, Brice Johnson was the rare four-year guy to get drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft. After being named third-team All-ACC as a junior, Johnson was named a first-team All-American the following year as a senior, as he put the team on his back during the NCAA Tournament, leading North Carolina to the tournament Finals (where they lost to Villanova).
While the Los Angeles Clippers did take him late in the 2016 NBA Draft (with the 26th overall pick), he spent plenty of time in the NBA Developmental Leagues in his first season-and-a-half in LA, and even after being traded to Detroit in the Blake Griffin deal, he continued to spend time in the D-Leagues. In 2019, Johnson was playing pro ball in Puerto Rico.
