Playing under venerated head coach Bob Huggins at the University of Cincinnati, Kenyon Martin averaged 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game during a season in which the Bearcats were ranked #1 for almost three months during the 1999-2000 season. Over the course of his 15-year professional career, Martin overcame two broken legs (including the famous one suffered in March of his senior season), two microfracture knee surgeries and an early reputation for being one of the league’s biggest hotheads. Martin now plays on the “Trilogy” team of the BIG3 Basketball League, with NBA alumni like Al Harrington and Rashad McCants.
