Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen
People forget that the Bills were a playoff team two seasons ago. Sean McDermott showed people that perhaps he knows what he’s doing, getting to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback. However, Buffalo’s supporting cast isn’t all that impressive despite the addition of several veterans at running back and wide receiver. The team’s success or failure will come down to how much improvement Allen shows in his sophomore campaign.
There’s no doubting Allen’s arm strength. He also showed some impressive mobility last season, almost reminding you of a young John Elway (or even an old John Elway). But his pass accuracy, his understanding of the game, and his decision-making all need to be better. Allen no longer has the excuse of being a rookie, and if he doesn’t take a big step forward in his development, it’ll be another long season in Buffalo.
