Even though he was merely a 2nd-round pick, there were still expectations for Kizer to be a competent starting quarterback, but that didn’t happen. He managed to win the starting job as a rookie, only to oversee Cleveland’s 0-16 season.

Even before the Browns had drafted Baker Mayfield, they decided to move on from Kizer, trading him to the Packers. He saw action in a few games when Aaron Rodgers was hurt, and it was an utter disaster. For what it’s worth, he remains Green Bay’s backup heading into the 2019 starter. But being a backup appears to be the best Kizer can hope for in his career moving forward.
