Vincent “Bo” Jackson represents perhaps the greatest “what if” in NFL history. The 1985 Heisman Trophy winner was maybe the closest thing we had to a real-life superhero playing professional sports.

The #1 overall pick in the 1986 NFL Draft eventually found his way to the Los Angeles Raiders after refusing to play for the team that drafted him, and while he only made one Pro Bowl during his career, the stuff he would accomplish on the field was the stuff of legends. If it weren’t for the career-ending injury he sustained at the end of the 1990 season, Jackson could’ve gone down as one of the greatest NFL running backs of all time.
