13. Michael Pittman Jr. (Buy)
The Indianapolis Colts had really high hopes for wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., evidenced by the fact that they used the second overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft on him.
After starting the season with a freakish (and dangerous) injury, Pittman is now healthy and starting to shine in the Colts’ offense. Even against Green Bay’s stellar secondary, Pittman’s big catch and run that resulted in a touchdown helped his team win the game.
13. Jarvis Landry (Sell)
If you ever created a team comprised of “guys who are better football players than their statistics would otherwise demonstrate,” it feels like Jarvis Landry would be the captain of that team.
Even as the de facto #1 receiver for the Cleveland Browns after the injury sustained by Odell Beckham Jr., Landry has yet to eclipse 90 yards receiving in a single game this year, and hasn’t caught a single touchdown pass. In Cleveland’s run-first offense, it’d be very surprising to a sudden uptick in his stats.
12. J.D. McKissic (Buy)
Yes, the Washington Football Team employs the proverbial “running back by committee,” which is led by running back Antonio Gibson. But don’t let that distract you from just how important running back J.D. McKissic has been to the team.
Over the last four games he’s played in, McKissic has averaged over 5 catches per game for a talent-starved Washington team. He’s finished with a serviceable 50+ combined yards in three of the past four games, but his value is clearly as a pass-catcher for those of you playing in PPR/half-PPR leagues.
12. Tee Higgins (Sell)
Let us be clear: this is not to take anything away from wide receiver Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals, because he’s been as impressive as any rookie at his position this season.
But his fantasy football value now plummets with the catastrophic and season-ending injury to Joe Burrow. Higgins and Burrow had an excellent rapport, which won’t be replicated with backup quarterback Ryan Lindley. That’s because Lindley absolutely stinks.
