Before moving to Los Angeles in 1958, the Dodgers called Brooklyn their home from 1884 to 1957. During their 73 years in Brooklyn, the Dodgers made 8 trips to the World Series. Unfortunately, the Fall Classic wasn’t kind to the Brooklyn Dodgers, as they were only able to win one title (1955). The Dodgers have done much better since moving to the west coast — winning 5 World Series titles since relocating to California in 1958.

Notable Players: Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Don Drysdale, Duke Snider, Roy Campanella, Clayton Kershaw

Championship Seasons: 1955 (Brooklyn Dodgers), 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988
