T4) San Francisco Giants, 8
Considering some of the greatest players of all time have played for the Giants, it’s no surprise to see the franchise appear on this elite list. Established in 1883, the Giants called New York home for 75 years — winning 5 World Series titles during their time on the East Coast. Like the Dodgers, in 1958, the Giants left New York for a new home in California.
Since moving to San Francisco, the Giants have won 3 of their 6 trips to the Fall Classic. Although the Giants were never able to win a title with superstar Barry Bonds, the team’s recent success has restored baseball in the Bay Area. With excellent pitching and timely hitting, the Giants are perennial contenders.
