Cleveland Hopkins International is home to many firsts in aviation, including the first air to ground radio communication system, which seems important. Also, it was the first airport to have a lighted runway, which seems even more important. Unfortunately, it appears as though the innovation stopped with those systems in the 1930’s.

According to one Google reviewer, it’s pretty bad in Cleveland all around. “Rental location is very poorly marked and extremely difficult to find. Shuttles are infrequent. Security is slow and overwhelmed. There are no gate boards with info on which flights they have and info on it. Delta gate agent is not friendly or willing to interact with customers at all. Overall a not a good experience.”
