Collier can blame injuries for a rough rookie season. However, he started all 16 games for Seattle during his sophomore season in 2020 and finished with only three sacks. That’s not exactly what the Seahawks were expecting from a first-round pick.

By his third pro season, Collier had tumbled down the depth chart and only played sparingly in 2021. The rebuilding Seahawks then decided not to exercise his fifth-year option, indicating they have all but given up on getting anything from the 29th overall pick from the 2019 draft.
