The Broncos gave Lock a chance to start 18 games over his first two seasons with the league. But he didn’t do enough to convince them not to acquire Teddy Bridgewater before the 2021 season, relegating Lock to backup duties. In fact, Lock led the NFL with 15 interceptions in 2020 despite passing for nearly 3,000 yards.

As a second-round pick, Denver didn’t expect him to become a star, but the Broncos hoped that Lock would at least be a viable starter. That hasn’t been the case, although Lock will get another chance in Seattle after the Broncos sent him to the Seahawks when they acquired Russell Wilson.
