5. Tom Brady, QB, New England
Once again, Mr. Age is Just a Number proved just that. We don’t know how he’s doing it, but Brady at age 41 in 2018 was every bit as good as he was at just about any point in the last five to 10 years. He’s still a master of his craft intellectually and somehow isn’t showing too many signs of aging physically. Brady would truly be something to marvel at if the rest of the league wasn’t so tired of him and the Patriots winning Super Bowls, which they did again last season.
In 2019, the goal for Brady and company will be to win the Super Bowl and go back-to-back for the first time since the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He’s now 42 and deep down we’re all expecting his age to show at some point. But until that happens, we have to assume he’ll be the same old Brady for yet another season.
