There’s little doubt that Elliott has been the best running back in the NFL over the last three seasons. He’s led the NFL in rushing twice in those three seasons and led the league in yards per game in all three seasons. Elliott also makes a huge impact in the Dallas offense as a pass catcher, and there’s no denying that the Cowboys would not be the same without him.

Of course, the question for 2019 is when and if Elliott will actually play. Given his production over the last three years, it’s hard to blame Elliott for holding out and wanting a contract that’s in tune with his importance to the Cowboys. However, the only way he’ll be one of the best players in the NFL in 2019 is if he actually steps foot on the field.
