Honorable Mention: Justin Jackson
A cerebral wing who was one of the more efficient players to ever lace them up for Roy Williams, Justin Jackson spent three years in North Carolina confounding NBA scouts with his versatility as a wing, but an inconsistent motor overall. The Portland Trail Blazers selected Jackson with the 15th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, but he was dealt to the Sacramento Kings in a draft-night deal.
But Jackson spent the majority of his rookie season shuttling between stints with the Reno Bighorns, the Kings’ NBA G League affiliate. Less than two years after drafting him, Sacramento dealt him to the Dallas Mavericks, in a deal that sent Harrison Barnes back to Sacramento.
