Coming out of the underrated high school hotbed of collegiate hoops in the greater Washington, D.C area, Kendall Marshall was the starting point guard for the Tar Heels for the majority of both of his seasons in Chapel Hill. As a freshman, he was named to the All-ACC freshman team, and then named a second-team All-ACC selection and third-team All-American selection as a sophomore.

But for someone who was so highly heralded before and during his time in Chapel Hill, Marshall might be the biggest bust in recent UNC history. In addition to playing only four years in the NBA, he saw two different stints in NBA developmental leagues, and averaged less than 15 minutes per game of playing time in every season but one.
