Jacksonville Jaguars: Leonard Fournette’s Health

Signing Nick Foles to replace Blake Bortles doesn’t change the fact that the Jaguars need to run the ball effectively in order to have success offensively. That means a lot is resting on Leonard Fournette’s health. When he was healthy enough to play 13 games as a rookie, the Jaguars were able to ride him, as he averaged over 23 touches per game. But he only played eight games last season due to injury, and even the games he did play, he wasn’t that productive.

There’s not much depth behind him outside of Alfred Blue, so the Jags are banking on Fournette staying healthy this year. If he’s hit by the injury bug again, Jacksonville will have no choice but to lean on Foles and see what he can do with a fairly young group of receivers.
