Diane Lane
Diane Lane’s first film role may have been in the 1970s, but it was her films in the 80s, that made her who she is today. Lane earned acclaim for her roles in A Little Romance, Touched by Love, and The Outsiders as a teenager in the early 80s. These performances made Andy Warhol declare that Lane was “the undisputed female lead of Hollywood’s new rat pack”, known as the “Brat Pack.”
Originally the lead role in Pretty Woman was supposed to go to Lane but due to scheduling conflicts it went to Julia Roberts. She would get her blockbuster role though in 2002, with the film Unfaithful. She earned an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her performances. Recently, Lane starred in the Amazon original series The Romanoffs and played a role in the final season of House of Cards.
