Michelle Pfeiffer made her career happen. Sick of being type-cast as the token blonde, Pfeiffer actively sought out grittier, tougher roles. That came first in Scarface where she had her breakout performance as Elvira Hancock, the gangster moll. This earned her better and more serious roles. She received two Academy Award nominations for the films Dangerous Liaisons and The Fabulous Baker Boys.

She starred in Batman Returns and Love Field early in the 90s but took a brief hiatus from acting in the mid-2000s. The musical Hairspray pulled her back in front of the camera and recently she’s acted in the films Murder on the Orient Express, and Ant-Man, and the Wasp.
