Julio Jones Catches Three Or Less Touchdown Passes, Again
As of the first week of October of 2018, over the past calendar year, there’s only been one game in which Julio Jones has caught a touchdown pass. For a player with Jones’ talents, it’s absolutely unfathomable. But between poor game planning from offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian and teams focused on double-teaming Jones as much as possible, there seems to a force field around the endzone that’s prevented Jones from entering it.
The Falcons have a plethora of passing catching options to vulture touchdowns from Jones. Veteran Mohamed Sanu (2 TDs) and rookie sensation Calvin Ridley (6 TDs) have no problem picking up the slack. Fun Fact: Ridley has 6 touchdown catches on just 19 receptions. That is not a typo.
