On paper, a shorter, quicker receiver like Ross seemed like the perfect complement to A.J. Green in Cincinnati. But Ross barely made the depth chart as a rookie and then fumbled on his first touch in the NFL. Injuries then derailed the rest of his rookie season, which ended without a catch.

Things improved for Ross this season, but it’s still a very small sample size. Before getting too excited, it’s important to keep in mind just how bad things were during his first two NFL seasons.
