The worst trade in New York Giants history might’ve taken place way, way back, but it’s a doozy. After losing three straight NFL championships in the early 1960’s, then Giants head coach Allie Sherman started cleaning house, and despite being told by owner Wellington Mara that he wouldn’t be traded, the Giants traded Sam Huff to the division-rival Washington Redskins.

Trading away Huff not only weakened the Giants’ defense, but bolstered that of a hated division rival.
