Struggling in the post-Vince Lombardi era, Green Bay Packers head coach Dan Devine decided, after the Packer started with a 3-3 record in 1974 , to send 2 first round, 2 second round, and a third round pick in the 1975 NFL Draft and another second round pick in the 1976 NFL Draft to the Los Angeles Rams for 34-year-old quarterback John Hadl.

As you might guess, this trade didn’t turn out well for Green Bay. Not only was Hadl a lousy player, but the Packers then went on to win only seven games over the next two seasons. He played 22 games for the Packers and threw 9 touchdowns and 29 interceptions.
