Jason Caffey is one of the men on this list who didn’t get to lift the Larry O’Brien Trophy in the summer of 1998. Having spent the previous two seasons coming off the bench for the Bulls, Caffey was traded to the Golden State Warriors midway through the 97-98 season.
While he didn’t get his third ring, the move worked out well financially for Caffey. In the summer of 1999, he resigned with the Warriors on a 7-year, $35 million deal. He was traded to Milwaukee later that season and eventually retired there in 2003.
