Kyle Boller
Before Josh Allen did it prior to the 2018 NFL Draft, Boller was the original version of the quarterback prospect who wowed NFL scouts with his arm strength, when kneeled on one knee at the 50-yard line and threw the football through the goalposts. It’s great that Boller had that type of arm strength, but it didn’t mean anything if he couldn’t throw it with any accuracy.
Even by his fifth season in Baltimore, Boller struggled, throwing for nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions in eight starts, finishing with a record of 2-6 in those games. The Ravens cut their losses with Boller that ensuing offseason. He spent some time as a backup, going 0-5 in his only five starts during the rest of his career. After retiring prior to the 2012 season, Boller has focused on being a father, as he and his wife Carrie Prejean welcomed children in both 2011 and 2013.
