Terrell Davis was the 196th pick in the 1995 NFL Draft, and was buried so far down the depth chart of the Denver Broncos that, at one point, he was the team’s sixth-string running back. But after impressing the coaching staff with his play on Special Teams as a rookie, Davis was promoted to the starting running back position, and became the lowest drafted player to ever gain over 1,000 yards rushing in his rookie season. From there, as they say, the rest is history. The three-time All-Pro was the NFL’s MVP in 1998, and helped the Broncos secure back-to-back Super Bowl wins during the 1997 and 1998 season.
