Division I-AA University of Idaho isn’t exactly known as an NFL football factory. That’s why, even after being named a first-team Division I-AA All-American, defensive end Jared Allen fell to the 126th pick (4th round) of the 2004 NFL Draft. But right from the start, Allen started terrorizing NFL quarterbacks, accumulating 26.5 sacks in his first three seasons in Kansas City, and then being named to three Pro Bowl teams and three first-team All-Pro selections with the Minnesota Vikings. In 2011, with the Vikings, he had 22 sacks in one year. Allen finished his career 136 quarterback sacks during his 12-year stint in the NFL.
