Tennessee Titans — Jake Locker (2011):
The red flags were obvious when it came to Jake Locker from day one. He was an extraordinarily gifted athlete playing the quarterback position, but despite having every physical tool you could ask for, he never seemed to actually improve as a passer. That didn’t stop the Tennessee Titans from using a top 10 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft on Locker.
After making a few cameos during his rookie year in the NFL, Locker was named the team’s starter in 2012, when his injury issues and inconsistent play began. In 11 starts, he threw 11 interceptions, and won only four of the 11 games he played. Two seasons later, Locker retired from the NFL, effectively saying his heart was no longer in the game.
