Blake Griffin – Oklahoma (2007-2009)
Blake Griffin’s final season at Oklahoma saw the power forward increase his scoring by eight points per game. It also saw Griffin improve his rebound stats by more than five rebounds a game. He simply got better and better as a member of the Sooners basketball team. In 2009, Griffin was awarded as the National College Player of the Year and the Big 12 Player of the Year trophies.
His 22.7 points and 14.7 rebounds a game led the Sooners to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight. It was a place the team hadn’t been in more than 20 years. The following season without Griffin, the team went a depressing 13-18. G: 68 Pts: 18.8 Reb: 11.8
