CNN: Robin Meade

Robin Meade got her first taste of the spotlight when she won the Miss Ohio Pageant in 1992. She used this award to jumpstart her career in broadcast journalism at a local Ohio news affiliate. Meade worked her way through larger and larger markets until finally, cable news came calling.

Incredibly, her first day on air at HLN, then CNN Headline News, was September 11, 2001. What a day to start. Since then she’s gone on to host her own morning news show, write a best bestselling book, and even record and release her own country music album. Her 4th cousin is Blake Shelton.
