EJ Manuel, Buffalo Bills, 2013
Nearly every other team in the NFL knew that EJ Manuel was not worth a first round pick. Sure, the athletic, big-armed quarterback from Florida State was talented, but he definitely needed a ton of refinement, and shouldn’t have been subjected to the spotlight of being a first-round pick. But the Buffalo Bills threw conventional wisdom to the wind, and took Manuel with the 16th overall pick. Manuel never played more than 10 games in his four-year career in Buffalo, and after the 2016 season, the Bills decided to move on without him.
