Clyde Duncan was drafted 17th overall by the Cardinals in the 1984 NFL Draft when they still played in St. Louis. His career got off to a poor start almost immediately. After holding out until the middle of September, he separated his shoulder, was placed on injured reserve, and missed most of the season.

The following season Duncan stayed healthy but caught just four passes before being replaced in the lineup. He would never catch another pass in the NFL.
