Alex Smith

Alex Smith has always been the quarterback who’s just good enough to be a starter for an NFL team, but never really good enough to lead a team to where they ultimately want to get to (a Super Bowl). After arriving in Kansas City prior to the 2013 season, Smith didn’t lead them to a playoff win until the 2015 season, when his Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans, who were led by journeyman quarterback Brian Hoyer. Not exactly a major accomplishment.

As lopsided as the score was (30-0) in typical Alex Smith fashion, he threw for less than 200 yards in the game. That remains Smith’s only postseason win in his 12-plus-year career.
