Mark Sanchez
As incredible as this might sound in retrospect, not many people realize that quarterback Mark Sanchez didn’t have a losing season as the starter for the New York Jets during his first three seasons in the NFL (27 win / 20 losses). In fact, in 2010, he led the Jets to an 11-5 record, as well as an upset over the hated New England Patriots in the divisional round of the AFC Playoffs; one week after defeating Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.
Of course, the Jets failed to make the Super Bowl, and Sanchez’ career eventually began to unravel. To date, Sanchez has an equal number of touchdowns and interceptions, and will struggle to be anything more than a career backup at best. At this point in his career, Sanchez is remembered more for the infamous “butt fumble” than he is for his playoff victories.
