#5. San Francisco 49ers, Tim Rattay (2004)
The franchise synonymous with legendary play from the quarterback position was a comedy of errors after Steve Young officially retired. While Jeff Garcia helped the San Francisco 49ers remain relevant for a few years after Young was out of the NFL, the team was forced to choose between options like Ken Dorsey and Tim Rattay at the quarterback spot in 2004.
Neither of those guys were anything close to a good answer, but Rattay was particularly underwhelming. In nine starts that season, Rattay lost eight of those games, throwing 10 interceptions.
