A year after setting the New York Giants’ single season franchise passing record with 4,073 yards, the bottom fell out for Kerry Collins. In 2003, the Giants went 4-12 and finished in dead last in the NFC East, thanks in large part to Collins’ going 4-9 as the team’s starting quarterback, throwing 13 touchdowns all year long, as well as 16 interceptions.

The Giants parted ways with Collins and head coach Jim Fassell after that season was over, and drafted Eli Manning the following spring.
