After four seasons, the Chicago Bears brain trust decided it was time for the Trubisky era to come to an end. In fairness, it wasn’t a complete failure, as he threw 64 touchdown passes compared to 38 interceptions and had a winning record as a starter. However, by the standards of the second overall pick, that’s not enough.

To his credit, Trubisky’s career didn’t end after the Bears decided to part ways with him. However, his present and future involve being a backup quarterback who might get a chance to start a few games every now and then.
