In high school, Adams was a two-way star, although he was a five-star recruit on the defensive side of the ball. That’s where he played when he got to LSU, playing in every game as a true freshman, including two starts at safety.

Of course, it was during his sophomore season that Adams took a huge leap forward. He had four interceptions and 5.5 tackles for loss, earning Second-Team All-SEC honors. Adams was even better during his junior season, becoming a First-Team All-SEC player and a Second-Team All-American, making it an easy choice for him to leave for the NFL after three years in college.
