Where Fournette is now.
It would be an understatement to say that Leonard Fournette’s NFL career has been a rollercoaster ride. Fournette appeared to be living up to the hype during his rookie season. Despite missing three games, he rushed for over 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns, carrying the Jacksonville offense at times as the Jaguars reached the AFC Championship Game. While injuries limited him to eight games the following year, Fournette was healthy enough to have another 1,000-yard season in 2019.
However, the Jags had seen enough of Fournette after three seasons. He was picked up by Tampa and then helped the Bucs win the Super Bowl, earning the nickname “Playoff Lenny.” Fournette and the Bucs appear to be a good fit for one another, breathing new life into his career.
