NFL wide receivers have a (well deserved) reputation for being arrogant, self centered, and egotistical. Several members of the NFL community believe that Andre Rison was arguably the NFL’s first prima donna wide receiver. During his twelve seasons in the NFL, Rison was the kind of guy that only cared about himself and his stats. Like most high maintenance receivers, he always wanted the ball and always put himself ahead of his team.

Regardless of his talent — which led to four straight Pro Bowl selections in the early 90s — Rison was notorious for wearing out his welcome. It’s no wonder he played for seven different teams throughout his career.
