14. Saquon Barkley, RB, (Overrated)
Let’s be clear: Saquon Barkley has generational talent and gifts. The fact that he’s right around six feet tall, weighs over 233lbs, is ripped beyond belief, and runs the 40 yard dash in right about 4.4 seconds flat is absolutely staggering. But the truth about Barkley is that his size, strengths, and physical gifts far exceed his vision and instincts as a running back. In other words, he’s one of those players who gets by on being a better athlete than running back.
That’s why you see Barkley run for so many gains of three yards or less, and then pad his stats with a run of 50+ yards. In his last season at Penn State, he only had five games with more than 100 yards rushing, and in all five of those games, his stats were padded with a run of 50 or more yards.
