Maciej Lampe is the only international bust on this list that was not taken in the first round. Lampe was projected as a top five pick in 2003 and was supposed to be the next huge international star. But Lampe did not go in the top five, nor in the lottery or at all in the first round. He fell all the way to the second round, where the Knicks scooped him up with the first pick.

Lampe lit up Summer League, averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds a game, and Knicks fans no doubt lost their collective minds. Lampe never played a game for New York, instead being thrown into the Stephen Marbury deal. He played three seasons in the NBA and was out of the league before he was legally allowed to drink in the United States.
