Rafael Araujo (Brazil)

Rafael Aruajo was the number eight pick in the 2004 NBA draft to the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors sure do love drafting international players. Araujo was the first senior drafted that year, and as an alum of Brigham Young University, Araujo wasn’t just a senior, he was almost 24 years old.

Araujo scored 389 points and recorded an even 300 personal fouls in his career, an impressively terrible ratio. Araujo was traded to Utah after a couple seasons, but even a return to his alma mater’s state couldn’t save him. I wonder what ever happened to the guy taken after Araujo… some guy named Andre Iguodala.
