They do not get much bustier than Darko Milicic, one of the bustiest draft busts that ever busted. The Detroit Pistons played in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2003 but then lucked into the number two pick a few weeks later thanks to an Otis Thorpe trade with the Memphis Grizzlies that had happened a full six years earlier.

The Pistons couldn’t take LeBron James, but they did have their choice of Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. They went with Milicic instead.

The Human Victory Cigar won a championship his first season in the NBA, but it was no thanks to him. He barely saw the court as the Pistons never found a role for him, but somehow managed to stick around the league another decade and even got one of the greatest NBA blogs ever named after him.
