Andrei Kirilenko (Russia)
Andrei Kirilenko was one of the all-time jackknife players, though he would probably prefer you remember him as more of an AK-47. Kirilenko was one of the nastiest wing defenders to ever play in the NBA. He made three All Defense teams and led the league in blocks in 2005 as a forward, and he recorded a Defensive Box Plus-Minus of 3.0 or better in each of his first seven seasons in the league.
AK-47 could do pretty much everything except shoot, ironically enough, and he would have been absolutely revered in today’s game as one of the elite role players. He’ll have to settle for being a two-time FIBA Europe men’s basketball player of the year.
