No player in NHL history could outshine Gretzky on the ice — but off the ice — it appears “The Great One” has finally met his match. In 2009, Mario Lemieux began construction on a castle-style mansion in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. As a town known for high end ski resorts, Mont Tremblant is no stranger to luxury.

A few years, and $20 million later, “Super” Mario had himself a 15,000 square foot mansion with 23 rooms and 10 bathrooms. The Tremblant home will serve as Lemieux’s second residence, since the Penguins’ owner still has a home in Pittsburgh.
If he’s looking for an escape from the ice, Lemieux’s home features an in-ground swimming pool and an outdoor tennis court with a heated floor. Not too shabby for a vacation house!
