No Good Nick (Canceled)
This show centers around a teenage con artist who infiltrates a family, led by Sean Astin and Melissa Joan Hart, as her next mark. As she gets to know the family and indeed becomes a part of the family she realizes she can’t go through with her plot.
Critics’ biggest issue for the show is its audience. The show starred veteran child actors from the major kids’ networks but included themes that were too mature for a young audience. As it turns out, that meant no one watched it.
The Crown (Renewed)
Unlike many of the shows renewed on this list, The Crown was renewed for multiple seasons. The Netflix epic tale of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II has released four seasons but has already been renewed for two more.
The show has captured audiences even as the cast has changed. As the show covers decades of the Queen’s life, actors are only cast in their roles for two seasons at a time. The upcoming two seasons will follow the Queen’s reign into the 21st century. Beyond that, who knows?
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Canceled)
With the success of the Archie comic book series universe, notably Riverdale, Netflix sought to capitalize on that with a supernatural fantasy focused on Sabrina Spellman. Unlike the 90s series starring Melissa Joan Hart, this Sabrina takes a darker tone.
Kiernan Shipka stars as the eponymous Sabrina in the series. Despite being just two seasons, the show put out 36 episodes and received positive reviews for both acting performances and visuals.
