I Am Not Okay with This (Canceled)
Here we have another show that is a victim of the pandemic. The series is a coming-of-age story about teenagers, one of whom discovers she is developing supernatural powers. The show was released to generally positive reviews, but with every industry feeling the squeeze during the pandemic, IANOwT was one of the casualties.
Look for the show’s young stars Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff to return to the screen soon, as their performances were excellent.
The Big Show (Canceled)
If The Rock could cross over from WWE fame to being one of the biggest stars on the planet, then why could WWE star The Big Show do the same? That was the gamble Netflix made when they produced the sitcom of the same name.
Well, they were wrong. The Big Show played a fictionalized version of himself in which he has to adjust to being a retired wrestler and focus his attention on raising a family. The show was canceled after just ten episodes.
The Kominsky Method (Renewed)
Chuck Lorre’s dominance of American television continues on with The Kominksy Method. The man who created Two-and-A-Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, among others, also created this show, about an aging acting coach who had a brief moment of success years earlier.
The cast is impressive, starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, and Kathleen Turner. The show has been renewed for a third season as audiences have really taken to the show. However, the series third season will be its last.
