Virgin River (Renewed)
If the current Bridgerton fad has told us anything, it’s that romance dramas are in vogue again. The executives at Netflix must have gotten the memo too because they renewed the romance drama Virgin River.
Season three will include 10 episodes, and introduce two new characters to the small California town. We can only imagine the drama that’s about to unfold.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Canceled)
If you didn’t watch The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance you aren’t alone. It’s a prequel to the 1982 fantasy film of the same name. The obvious challenge was capturing the attention and nostalgia of an audience who watched a movie nearly 40 years ago.
The show failed at that and apparently didn’t capture enough new imaginations either, as it was canceled after just one season. Fans of The Dark Crystal will have to wait for something else to continue the saga.
Space Force (renewed)
Steve Carrell starring in a show mocking the absurdity of militarizing space? What’s not to love, unless you’re the former resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, that is. Audiences agreed and the show, which also stars John Malkovich opposite Carrell has been renewed for a second season.
If you haven’t seen it, don’t expect this to be the military version of Michael Scott running Dunder-Mifflin. Carrell is funny in whatever he does, and this show is original, smart, and timely.
